- 1 cup drinking water
- 3 to 5 whole cloves
- Optional: 1 teaspoon honey
- Optional: 1 slice fresh lemon
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of water into a small saucepan.
- Add 3 to 5 whole cloves to the water.
- Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Strain out the cloves.
- Add honey or lemon if desired.
- Serve warm or let cool and refrigerate for later use.
Notes
Use whole cloves for best results. Limit to 1 to 2 cups per day. Store in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours for freshness.
